If you want to get a green to trade, give away or keep (for another character), you farm the boss as normal for an uncustomised green. If you just want to get it for yourself, you complete a quest and get the customised green as a reward. You're guaranteed to get the green, but as it's customised, it's only valueable to your character. If you don't want to farm or complete a quest because it's long, you still have the option to buy from another player. |

That's the problem, other players are obviously asshats. Look at this thread. People are complaining because they can only sell items for 10-30k instead of 70-100+k. They need to permanently increase the drop rates of greens tocap the insane economy since they refuse to add any sort of cross-continent, cross-server trading system like an auction house that might help put a lid on it.

i like how expensive greens are, youre all complaining but seriously, what else will u spend your money on? if greens etc were cheap every player would have 1million gold + and nothing to spend it on. theres only so many things to spend money on.

prices for greens will go back up, just wait a while and sell if you want better money or if someone offers you a small amount just dont sell to them
just because some fool says 'sunreach shield is worth 15k' doesnt mean you have to sell it to him for it as more often or not he's scamming and will then sell it on for a profit. |

I sell cheap for 3 reasons...
1) I don't want to sit in town all day trying to sell something. 2) It isn't real money anyways, so whatever I get is fine by me. 3) I like it when people are happy at my low low prices. I used this weekend to get greens I wanted, not to make more money. And I had two ways of doing this, buying them for cheap or getting them to drop. I went for the ladder since it earned me a little gold as well. |

On the few occasions I was in Cantha I've seen people spamming trade for greens and whispered them to find that they are vastly overpriced--sometimes by thrice the Price Check amount here in guru. While not set in stone, I've always found the prices in our trade section a solid gauge for prices in game. people selling--and buying--these greens for such rediculiously high prices are going to have a bitter taste in their mouths all too soon. Thanks to the increased drop large quantities of greens have flooded what was an already unstable market. The simple fact remains: if greens weren't worth what people have been charging before the weekend, they certainly aren't going to be worth as much now that the market has been effectivly saturated. Canthan green prices are going to crash very soon...which is why I spent most of the weekend chestfarming in Tyria Last edited by Minus Sign; Oct 16, 2006 at 12:11 PM // 12:11.. |

Besides, you stated in you first post that you wanted them customized because they are "kind of a reward for defeating a boss". I dont see it as a reward to get a weapon I dont use or intend to use on any character. Honestly, I don't see why it is a problem people are paying insane amounts of cash for green items. If they want to do that, let them. The player who killed the boss gets his reward for killing it. If you want to stop people from farming them get a better working farming code (not needed if you ask me but I see it as more of a solution to the (IMHO perceived) problem). |

And I like how you completely ignored my shooting down your other fellacious bs. No item is worth more than the platinum trade cap and what's more, the greens are barely better than collector's items. But no one goes around selling those for 80k. |

Am I the only person who didn't get a single damned green this weekend?!?
Was the warrior in a group that got the Stonereaper staff (one of the two greens I wanted for my own girls) for a necro first trip out Sat. morn. Got a monk staff for a monk on the third (I really hate it when someone maps out on a party without warning once they have what they want). Never saw another green drop the entire rest of the weekend! Two greens - for my own use - was all I asked. (Actually there was another but I can't get to it yet) Tried different characters, PuGs as well as henches. Nada. And I began getting *very* pissy when someone in the party said "I got 6 greens here already today.....oops, make that 7". Oh well. Not like the collectors don't have perfectly adequate weapons. Not like my girls really need the greens. And I have plenty of gold without trying to jip others out of theirs. It's just the idea. |

i tend to ignore rude low lifes who idolize mr t. hope u meet someone like him in prison some day so he can love you long time. ive never sold a green for over 20k so i dont know where ure getting the 80k stuff from. people like you are the reason they have to put the "game content may change during online play" next to the rating on games. youre a arrogant rude pos that is wasting precious oxygen the rest of us could use just by breathing. go play in the street at a busy truck stop, try jumpin in front of a semi. stop being rude to me.

In this game that Ferrari would have the same parts and assessories, same body, come from the same factory and automaker, and pretty much be the same exact car as the '83 Pinto -except its name- So of course it is fair to assume their prices would be somewhere in line with each other. |

Either way, I seem to be one of the few who farmed this weekend SOLELY for my own characters benefit - not to sell on. |

Perhaps you can find consolation is the fact that, had the weekend event not happened, you may not have even found those items. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- I don't understand people's confusion with this issue. We had two weeks' notice about the event; it shouldn't have been a surprise to anyone. Supply of green items was bound to increase. The effect this would have on prices was hardly unpredictable. Anyone hoping to get rich on selling greens at their regular rates was bound to be disappointed. Here's a strategy: 1. In times of low supply, use the opportunity to sell and make money. The beginning of the Nightfall campaign would be a good example. People who find greens before the general playerbase has begun farming (or even locating) them will have a supply advantage. Buying during this period is not shrewd. 2. In times of high supply, use the opportunity to acquire items you want. If you want the item, prices may never be lower. Selling druing this period is not shrewd. We are currenty in this situation. 3. In times of "regular" supply, prices stabilize to a range agreed upon by the supply side and the demand side. Business as normal. |

whatever dude im not arguing with anyone. just stated the fact that people buy weapons for the skin. sunreach shield has same stats as the wooden buckler u can get from collector in the vasburg armory for like 5 dragon roots. i for one would rather have a cool looking shield than a wooden buckler. if that makes me a moron i guess im a moron. in your opinion at least. /Signed to have Mr T Bot publicly casturated |
